Paul Phillip Fine, 95, peacefully passed away on June 2, 2025. He was born Sept. 10, 1929.

He was the son of Molly and Phillip Fine. His life was filled with love from his many family members and friends. Paul was active past his 95 birthday. He worked out four days a week, volunteered at the Courts Community Service, was an avid reader and worked crossword puzzles daily.

His sense of humor and kindness were appreciated by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He had a love for gardening and sports teams, especially the Cleveland Indians, now Guardians, where he was a season ticket holder. Paul had the opportunity to throw out the first pitch on his 88 birthday, where over 40 family and friends came to cheer him on.

He was a Naval Veteran and a member of the Forest City Masonic Lodge. Since he was a young man he worked in the produce field opening a stand on E. 4th Street and Euclid Avenue, and years later opened Nela Farms. A second career took him to selling Ohio State Waterproofing, where he was one of the top salesmen.

Paul was the guy who brightened a person’s day with compliments and charm. He made you laugh with his quotable sayings and loved telling stories about his life.

Paul married Harriet, the love of his life, and had four children. He is survived by Michelle (Bob) Reiner, Michael Fine, Marty (Cathy Brooks-Fine) Fine, and Richard (Sabina) Fine. He will be missed by his 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Unfortunately, Harriet passed in 1998 but he was once again lucky and met Maxine Cowan (deceased). They were married for 23 years and he always said, “How lucky I am to find two loves in my lifetime.” Maxine’s family became his family. He is survived by Sharyl (Dr. Steve Bloom, deceased) Bloom, and Dr. Larry (Katie) Cowan. He was very close to their three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
