The Friendship Circle began in 1994 with just eight volunteers visiting three children each week. It wasn’t long before other teens, children with special needs and their families learned about the program.
Today, the Friendship Circle had evolved from into a thriving organization with over 800 volunteers, 200 Families and over 2,500 Students participating in the Lessons for Life program.
The Success of the Friendship Circle has inspired branches in cities across the United States, and the world.
There are now over 70 Friendship Circles worldwide with an annual confereance, international volunteer club, and volunteer leadership conference.
